iPod Touch
I am a huge fan of Apple’s iPod Touch, and I would probably be a fan of the iPhone too but I don’t have it and I couldn’t afford the extra $20 bucks a month it costs. As much of a fan I am of Apple’s work I also feel like they have crippled the iPod by thus far not allowing third party programs to be installed–apparently that should all be changing soon. But there is a way to beef up your iPhone or iPod Touch now, just hack it. I’ve been doing it since my first week of owning it; running games, reading the bible, and streaming music all natively on my iPod. It seriously is 10 times better hacked! Originally, it was quite a process to jailbreak–aka hack–but now ZiPhone has made the process incredibly easy… it takes only a minute. So I recommend buying the iPod and jailbreaking it via ZiPhone.
PS. If you have a newer iPod or 16GB and above you might run into a “BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0 error” while jailbreaking it, but don’t worry everything will be okay just look up how to put it into recovery mode and then use ZiPhone to put it back in normal mode. There is a fix for this error now! Repeatedly click “Jailbreak” in ZiPhone until you get past where the error happens and then close out ZiPhone before it’s done. Wa la!
