Go Fix Yourself

This week I worked on a Style Network pilot called “Go Fix Yourself,” a makeover show where two contestants make themselfs over to win some money.  Though I worked with many of the same people from Clean House, “Go Fix Yourself” was taped mostly on a sound stage which made the experience different.  Also different was the fact that I assisted the camera department!  I recently started looking for an opportunity to work closer with the cameras and this was the break I was looking for.  In fact I shot as a 2nd camera all day on Friday when we followed the contestants around the mall.  It was a small camera… even smaller than mine but I had a great time shooting and playing with shots.  On thing it solidifed to me was the limitations of shooting manual with a small camera like that. Still an awesome experience, hope I captured some good stuff!

This week I also got a call from the production coordinator of William Shatner’s Raw Nerve, with whom Wilson set me up with.  It looks like I’ll be working on that show the 13th, 14th, and 15th of this month! We’ll see how it pans out but this will be a great opportunity to meet some new people.
